I am the Managing Director of DEMIS GmbH as well as a shareholder of the DEMIS Group and have been involved in the development and positioning of the company in the industrial and mechanical engineering market since its inception. Before my role at AURELIUS, and continuing up to the present day, I have been successful in promoting DEMIS and growing it into the DEMIS Group. I have only been part of AURELIUS since 2025, but I am actively involved in M&A and driving growth within the DEMIS Group. My goal remains to establish the DEMIS Group as a strong player in the market.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

AURELIUS offers an environment in which entrepreneurial action becomes possible. The combination of strategic focus and operational implementation enables me to systematically expand the DEMIS Group and unlock its potential. At the same time, we create sustainable, future-proof prospects for our employees.

Describe your job

My role at AURELIUS is to drive the DEMIS Group forward with a clear focus on the future. I am systematically leading the DEMIS Group into a stable market position by leveraging its strengths and, in doing so, creating among other things one of the foundations for sustainable development and a robust structure.

Best thing about AURELIUS

In my view, what makes AURELIUS special is the combination of decision-making freedom and extensive expertise. The strategy presented by AURELIUS, called buy-and-build, enables me to take an active role in shaping the business, to continue assuming responsibility within the group, and to realize sustainable value.

Personal statement

I look to the next steps with confidence. Together with our team and AURELIUS, we have a strong foundation to shape the future and to consistently achieve our goals.

In the end, only what we actually put into practice counts.

My name is Matthew Green and I am the CEO at tmGroup, based in Swindon, England. I have been the CEO here for 7 months and prior to that I worked for CoStar Group for 21 years, finishing there as the European MD of their commercial real estate data and online marketplace division covering UK, Spain, France and Germany.

I am the CEO at tmGroup in the UK. tmGroup is a key provider of searches, identity checking and technology solutions to the UK legal industry, specifically the conveyancing sector of that industry.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

The CEO opportunity at the portfolio company, combining technology and data and with an ambition to grow the business, was a very attractive one.

Describe your job

Given that we are an extremely customer-focussed provider in the industry, I spend a lot of time meeting with customers, hearing about their challenges and discussing how tmGroup can help. Interacting with the client base is probably my favourite part of the role, partly because conversations with them are always valuable. These interactions help set direction, validate what we are already doing, and provide important market information. The industry as a whole is very friendly and so it is not a challenge to get those meetings. I also really enjoy working with our internal teams on various projects, collaboration is a critical part of our success and the company is full of talented individuals who are all passionate about tmGroup and our market.

Best thing about AURELIUS

I really like the focus AURELIUS puts on operational support and the investment the group makes into support leading leaders within their businesses. I have felt extremely well supported in this regard from day 1. I also think the group is very good at seeking ways to apply knowledge gained in one area or portfolio company to another which means portfolio companies benefit in ways they might not have done if they were not part of a portfolio.

Personal statement

When I am not at work, I spend time with my wife and three children (aged between 11 and 20). I am also a volunteer rugby coach at youth level, working with 11-year olds at improving their game and making sure they enjoy the sport. I am also a trustee for a local community services charity in my village.

Working closely with our customers and teams is what drives me every day.

I bring close to 15 years of experience across entrepreneurship and digital business building. I started my career at Rocket Internet, where I developed a deep passion for scaling digital models. After founding my own startup, I moved into corporate innovation and helped both mid-sized companies and large corporates build new businesses and growth engines. What excites me most is the tension between established structures and new opportunities, and the ability to run a strong, profitable core while still taking smart risks on new ideas. That’s exactly why I’m excited to lead Aurelius’ portfolio company GastroHero as CEO and drive its next phase of growth.

At Aurelius, I serve as CEO of GastroHero. Following the initial restructuring phase, my mandate is to put the business back on a path of sustainable, profitable growth. I work closely and in true partnership with the Aurelius team as well as our nearly 60 employees to drive execution and deliver results.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

A highly professional and culturally great team, deeply involved in day-to-day execution, not just strategy.

Describe your job

As CEO, I’m involved across all functions, both strategically and operationally. My primary functional focus sits on our commercial channels, marketing, sales, and marketplaces.

Best thing about AURELIUS

Quite simply, the strength of the team across all levels, from the Managing Director to the functional experts who sit with me every day and drive the work forward.

Personal statement

Value creation is more than an output of the value chain, it is the product of a team culture defined by respect, appreciation, trust, and fun.

Successfully completing tasks and making an impact, that’s what it’s all about.

I started my career in the Restructuring Practice of Roland Berger to then gain industry experience, holding various Executive Positions in the Stainless Steel division of ThyssenKrupp. Combining methodological Consulting know how with Management experience from the industry, I founded my own consulting boutique, focused on Transformation and Strategy Implementation. Prior to joining AURELIUS, I was working as Transformation Officer in Portfolio Companies for various Private Equity investors for a number of years.

I am working as CEO of ECO3, a global supplier to the Offset Printing Industry, since Aurelius closed the deal in April 2023.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

My encounters with AURELIUS people before joining made the difference. They genuinely understand: value creation, especially in carve-outs, requires transforming portfolio companies across all functions. AURELIUS Strategy & Transformation Experts actively support this.

Describe your job

As CEO of ECO3, I enjoy the challenge of managing both restructuring and growth at the same time, within a global organisation operating in a sunset market. ECO3 transformation means: managing US growth, optimizing our Chinese JV but also driving our exciting software business.

Best thing about AURELIUS

Talking to AURELIUS colleagues means talking to Entrepreneurs. Their thorough understanding of industry dynamics and pragmatic approach to solutions provides the flexibility needed to succeed with my team in rapidly changing environments.

Personal statement

Working with AURELIUS colleagues is an ever enriching experience I really appreciate. With travelling being a substantial part of my job, spending quality time with my family and friends is equally important to me.

Hard work, often tough, but always fulfilling and fun.
