I am an intern in the ESG team at AURELIUS, based in the Munich office. Prior to joining AURELIUS in 2024, I’ve worked in environmental consulting, both in Europe and Latin America. I hold a Bachelor in Law from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and am currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Resource Management at the Technical University of Munich, Germany.

In the ESG team, we are driven by the concept that ESG is more than a “tick box” activity. It is necessary for long-term value creation and risk mitigation in the face of future uncertainty.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

The idea of creating long-term value for portfolio companies in the areas of sustainability and social impact is challenging and allows us to go beyond the advisory role.

As we work with different business sectors, regions, stakeholders and scenarios, identifying and building strategies in the ESG pillars for portfolio companies is the most exciting part.

Working at AURELIUS is both challenging and fun!

I worked at AURELIUS as an Investment Advisory intern in the London office while studying for a BSc in Business Administration at the University of Mannheim.

As an Investment Advisory intern, I had the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the M&A world and support the team during a deal cycle. It was great to apply some of the theoretical content from my studies to the real business world.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

AURELIUS is a well-known globally active investor. I really liked the idea to get involved in deals of a significant size and with international exposure.

Describe your job

My tasks varied greatly on a daily basis and included supporting the team to conduct due diligence assessments of attractive target companies through market research and the analysis of financial data. I also learnt how to produce drafts of indicative offer letters. The most exciting part of my job was the tremendous variety of the tasks, which ensured I had a steep learning curve.

The best things about AURELIUS are its team culture and the drive of each employee.

My time at AURELIUS will be remembered fondly. I learned a lot of new concepts through the internship and my personal and professional development was huge.
