I am an Investment Principal at AURELIUS Wachstumskapital. Prior to joining AURELIUS in 2022, I worked as a Transaction Services Manager at Deloitte where I managed and coordinated projects at mid- and large-cap companies for both corporate and private equity clients. Before that, I was an Investment Analyst at the Hannover Finanz Gruppe. I hold an MS in Finance from the ESADE Business School and a BA in Business Administration from FHDW Hannover.

As an Investment Principal at AURELIUS, my work includes managing the acquisition processes for new platform companies and looking for add-ons for the existing portfolio.

Describe your job

The most exciting part of my job is facilitating our portfolio companies’ growth through fostering new partnerships with entrepreneurs and driving a buy-and-build strategy.

I am a Senior Legal Counsel in the M&A Legal Team at AURELIUS. Before joining AURELIUS in 2022, I spent five years as a lawyer at Freshfields in the M&A / Private Equity practice. I studied at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg and completed my legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court (Kammergericht) in Berlin.

As part of the M&A Legal Team, I am jointly responsible with the Investment Team for company acquisitions and disposals at AURELIUS. I oversee the legal side of each transaction, from structuring and drafting the agreements through to closing. This means working closely with the Deal Team as well as specialists from Tax, Operations, and Financing. Every deal is a team effort and a true collaborative masterpiece.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

Coming from private practice, I missed the commercial perspective. I wanted to be closer to the numbers, the investment case, and the real decision-making behind whether to pursue a deal. It is incredibly exciting to accompany transactions from an owner’s perspective rather than solely as an external adviser.

Describe your job

My work in the M&A Legal Team is highly varied and dynamic. Every transaction offers insights into new industries and business models. In 2025, I had the opportunity to play a key role in setting up our new fund. The bar is high and the learning curve remains steep and that is exactly what makes the role so rewarding.

The people and the mindset: nothing is impossible. Challenges are seen as opportunities rather than obstacles. I genuinely enjoy coming into the office every day. We achieve a lot and laugh a lot.

As a mother of two young children, AURELIUS places great trust in me and gives me the flexibility I need. This allows me to balance the at times intensive work on exciting transactions with spending meaningful, high‑quality time with my family.

I am an Associate at AURELIUS Finance Company and work from the London office. Prior to joining AURELIUS in 2018, I was an Assistant Director in the large corporate lending team at NatWest. Before that, I was an Investment Research Analyst at Wells Fargo. I hold a Diploma in Lending Skills from the Chartered Banker Institute and a BsC in Banking and International Finance from the Bayes Business School.

As part of the AURELIUS Finance Company, I work with companies that don’t have access to the mainstream lending market (focused in the UK). My role is all encompassing – from working with the new business team to originating new opportunities, analysing these new opportunities, and working with the wider AURELIUS Finance  team to complete and underwrite the transaction and onboard the client as well as then portfolio management of these clients.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

I wanted to join a team that would support my development, allow me to develop new skills and which encouraged an entrepreneurial spirit, all while being able to seize opportunities for internal mobility and interaction with different teams. I wanted to specifically join AURELIUS Finance Company due to the nature of the lending being asset focused – something I enjoyed doing previously.

Describe your job

The most exciting part of my job is the range of things we do – no one day is the same as the other – and the wide variety of businesses that we look at – both in terms of industry and performance.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family (and my dog), playing sports – football and cricket mainly – and exploring new pubs!

I am an Associate with AURELIUS Investment Advisory team. Prior to joining AURELIUS as an intern in 2022, I was a Strategy and Transactions Working Student at Ernst & Young. I hold an MSc in Finance from the ESADE Business School in Barcelona, a CEMS MSc in Management from the Università Bocconi, and a BS in International Hospitality Management from EHL.

As part of the Investment Advisory team, my primary focus is analysing potential investment opportunities. Through a holistic screening process, we identify areas in which AURELIUS can leverage its unique setup.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

My number one reason for joining AURELIUS is the team! During my time as an intern, I had the chance to get to know the team both inside and outside of work.

Due to AURELIUS’ agnostic investment approach, I get to work across a variety of industries and markets, which is something I particularly love about my job.
