I am a tax expert at AURELIUS, which means being responsible for all bits of pieces of our investment life cycle that have a tax angle to it. Most of the work I do relates to the transaction processes, like overseeing the tax due diligence, negotiating tax part of legal documents or designing structures which are suitable for the investment we do.

I am originally from a smaller city close to Cologne, which makes me a huge fan of the Cologne Carnival. I usually spend my spare time with my family, playing football, building sandcastles, or climbing around the playgrounds nearby.

What is the #1 reason why you joined AURELIUS?

Being based in Munich and working in the Private Equity environment for a decade, I was familiar with the AURELIUS brand. After having learned that they raised their Private Equity fund I was eager to be part of the journey.

Describe your job

No two days are alike. I am involved with various workstreams including the investment, legal or finance teams within AURELIUS or external advisors / lawyers supporting on transactions. It is true international cooperation.
